DYI INJURY THERAPY: MAKE YOUR OWN HEATING PAD!

Working through a muscle injury?  Try this little trick.  Take two cups of dry rice – it doesn’t matter what kind, unless you plan to eat it sometime in the future – and pour it into a thick sock. Then tie the end of sock into a tight knot.  Now put it into your microwave and heat for 2 minutes on high.

Viola!  You’ve got a heat pad.  it’s pliable, effective, cheap, and very eco-friendly.  Lay your injured area on it or rest on it your for 5 minutes, and repeat as needed.  But be careful when you take it out of the microwave and use it – it could be very hot at first!
