METRO RUN & WALK CELEBRATES 3RD ANNIVERSARY AND STORE REMODELING
WITH A GRAND RE-OPENING FEATURING A BOOK SIGNING, PARTY, & GIVEAWAYS
An All-day Celebration on Sunday, March 11, 12-5pm
Springfield Virginia, March 9, 2012: Metro Run & Walk in Springfield Virginia celebrates its three year anniversary under the ownership of Mark & Helen Russell. And now the store looks better than ever with new paint, new walls, new carpet, and more! The Russells and the entire staff at Metro Run & Walk will be celebrating their anniversary with a day-long in-store event. Join them on Sunday March 11, anytime between 12noon and 5pm. They are offering festivities and refreshments, prize giveaways, various special guests on hand throughout the day, and a special presentation and book signing by Jeff Horowitz, the D.C. area’s highly regarded marathoner and author. And of course all Metro Run & Walk staff will be there, so customers and visitors can look forward to reconnecting and chatting with the specialists who have been serving the northern Virginia running, walking, and active lifestyle community for so many years. The Jeff Horowitz book signing is scheduled for 1-3p.m., with remarks by Jeff planned for 1:30pm.

Jeff is a certified running, cycling, and triathlon coach, and is the author of "My First 100 Marathons" (Skyhorse Press 2008) and "Smart Marathon Training" (Velo Press 2011). An obviously addicted runner, Jeff has run at least one marathon in every state and on 6 continents, including marathons in South Africa, China, Bangkok, and Antarctica. You would get strength & core workouts, as well as run-specific training drills and stretches. 3. Virtual Coaching. This includes all of the above, implemented on a week-by-week basis. We review each week's progress at week's end so that adjustments can be made. The program is tailored to suit you right up to race day. It involves more contact, on a weekly or even daily basis. 4. Full Coaching for athletes in the Washington DC area. All of the above, plus a weekly workout together including speedwork, drills, and strength training. 5. Individual track sessions.
